Share your heart for the area of ministry you are currently leading?

As Karie and I serve together to oversee the Connect and Gear Teams (Pit Crew, Hospitality, The Life Center, Greeters, Ushers and Response Team) we are so blessed by the faithfulness of the many hands and hearts that it takes to run the service smoothly each week.  These areas of ministry are the backbone of weekend services from setting up, to creating an atmosphere of welcoming others, to providing information and praying for those in need.  Such a wide variety of areas and each one equally important.  We have such a desire to see others get plugged in, connected and be an active family member here at Abundant Life.

Pit crew is where I am most hands on and found serving almost weekly.  This is a place to connect and build relationships, and to serve our church body. It is a great opportunity to be able to be the first responders for set up and tear down. We may not be seen in the public eye, but the best part of this ministry is that God sees each and every one of our hearts. So, if you're looking for a place to serve, pit crew is the place for you. 

How long have you been at Abundant Life?

We have been at ALCC since 2012.

Tell us a little about your family...

I am married to my amazing wife Karie Franks who is the Executive Pastor at Abundant Life. I have three wonderful children: Brianne, Joshua and Kiera who are a gift from God and I am thankful everyday to be their dad. I see God's blessings everyday when I look at my family and I am forever grateful.

What are you passionate about?

I am most passionate about my family; they will always be my number one, after God of course. The ministry that God has called me to, wherever I put my hand to serve, I have a deep passion for as well. You will often see my entire family serving because it is a part of our DNA. Serving is a joy especially when God calls you to such an amazing church.

* Another passion in my life will always be the San Francisco 49ers!! (#16)!!!

* I love, love, love to cruise!  And so does my family so that works out GREAT.

* I enjoy building friendships week after week at ALCC. (my wife is often wondering where I am at... talking with others is where I can be found).
