Carissa and Zack Franz

How many years have you been in the ministry and what is your ministry experience?

I, Carissa, have been serving in ministry for the last 10 years, that’s when sharing the gospel message with people really started to drive every aspect of my life. I long to see People encounter Jesus in a real tangible way!

I would say, my personal ministry started with ministering to addicts when I was radically set free by Jesus. I believe Jesus is waiting to minister to anyone that would just come sit with him, and ask Him to move in their life. 

To me it doesn’t matter if it’s ministering by worship, the word or prayer, it doesn’t matter if it's children, teens or women, broken or whole people, believers or unbelievers, we all need to be ministered to and I want people to experience Him!

What is your current position?
I am the Worship Leader at ALCC. I also serve on the Women's Refresh Leadership Team and on the Remnant High School Youth Team.

What else have you done besides ministry?
I was a Chef/ Restaurant Manager at multiple fine dining restaurants through the years and for the last 10 years I have owned my own cleaning business doing residential and commercial cleaning.

Where did you receive your training/education?
I went to Eugene Bible College in Oregon for a short time, I also attended Tacoma Community College and the rest of my training has been hands on experience and continuous learning from the Holy Spirit and a multitude of mentors.

How long have you been at Abundant Life?
I have been attending Abundant Life as a Member since 2017

Tell us a little about your family...
I have been married to my husband Zack since 2018, We are passionate about sharing our heart for worship, our testimonies about the faithfulness of God with the next generation! We are super thankful that the Lord has placed us in Orting for such a time as this.  We have a 16 year old son Sean Malik, he loves everything sports, music and he is already busy starting his junior year.

What are you passionate about?

I am very passionate about worshipping Jesus and that’s where and how I want to bring people to Jesus. I am always questioning the Lord about people and why they are hurting or off course or whatever, just as I do in my own life and He always brings me back to the same scripture…Forgive them Father, for they don’t know what they do.

If I could sum it up, my passion is to help people taste and see that the Lord is good and to be and instrument used by the Lord to help them KNOW.

* I love to have FUN, if people aren’t having a good time around me, my goal is to change that up!  I like to be spontaneous and JOYOUS and make people laugh, I love music, I not only can sing but I also love to Rap too.

* Not many people know that about me, but I find it fascinating how God created our brains to work, so In my free time I like to broaden my skills in vocabulary and reading all the things on all topics, because I’m secretly-truly a nerd. LOL!
