Pastor Karie and Brian Franks

How many years have you been in the ministry and what is your ministry experience?
We have been in the ministry serving in some capacity since 2000.  We served as missionaries in Australia, Youth Pastors, Associate Pastors, Children's Pastors, administration, and a variety of helps ministry from ushers to greeters and wherever help was needed.  

What is your current position?
Karie: I am currently the Executive Pastor, Summerfest Director and Refresh Women's Ministry Pastor and I also have the joy of co-leading the Marriage Ministry, Missions and Connect Ministry with my husband.

Brian: I currently serve as Gear Teams Director and together with Karie we oversee the Marriage Ministry, Missions and Connect Ministry.

What else have you done besides ministry?
Brian:  I work at Mountain Mist Water Company and have been there since 2002.

Karie: I have held some side administration and cleaning jobs throughout the years but have mainly worked in the ministry and most importantly as a wife and mother to our three children.

Where did you receive your training/education?
Karie: I am a graduate of New Creation School of the Bible in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and both Brian and I are graduates of Rhema Bible Training Center and Domata School of Missions in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

How long have you been at Abundant Life?
We have been at Abundant Life since September of 2012.

Tell us a little about your family...
We were married July of 1999 and have three beautiful children, Brianne, Joshua, and Kiera. We have two precious dogs, Oreo and Snickers and two cats that we adore, Ruby and Rosie.

What are you passionate about?
We both love God and love people. We want to see people come to understand who Christ is and how to build and strengthen their relationship with Him, to encourage others to walk in their giftings and callings. We are passionate about marriage and believe God can strengthen and restore any marriage if two people are willing to put the work into loving one another. Our hearts are to serve and be a blessing and we desire to help others plug in and find their place in the local church body. Missions has always been our heartbeat, local and international. Fun Facts:
* Brian and Karie lived in Australia as missionaries for a year
* For 3 years the Franks Family downsized and did "tiny living" 
* They have sold everything they own twice to follow where the Lord was leading them
* The only complaint Brian has received at work is that he is "too happy" in the morning
