Share your heart for the area of ministry you are currently leading?

I am the lead security for Abundant Life Community Church in Orting Washington. I have a combined total of 33 years of public service in the United States Marine Corps and law enforcement. Most of my life I have been a public servant, helping others and keeping the peace. Now I am honored to use my experience and serve the church by leading our awesome security team. Our team is made up of members with the heart to protect the flock. We are always looking for members with the calling to serve on our team. How long have you been at Abundant Life?

My wife, Renee, and I have been attending Abundant Life for about six years and have been members since 2021. After I retired in 2021, I prayed that God would present us the opportunity to serve the church. That very next Sunday, God presented us with our first opportunity. We were approached by members that asked if we would be interested in greeting once a month. That was just the beginning!

Renee and I have been blessed with three sons, two daughters and three granddaughters.

An old friend, co-worker and mentor once told me, "It's important to love your wife. When you retire, it's more important to like her as well, because you will be spending a lot of time together." That is not just a clever anecdote, but wise words. God has blessed Renee and I; we enjoy serving the Lord by serving others together as a team.
