Sam Carver

How many years have you been in the ministry and what is your ministry experience?
When I was a youngster, my parents started a Professional Christian Ballet company called Paradosi. From my elementary years into early teens, I would travel with the Ballet company with my family. That would consist of many trips across the US, and also a trip to Europe! So many years of my life, I have witnessed ministry first-hand, and have seen the Lord move in spectacular ways! 

For the past 3 or so years now, after graduating High School, I began to serve in Remnant/Impact throughout the Summers in between ministry school. Including at youth camp!  

In my years of ministry school, I was also serving in the local church in California as well. Which looked like being on the prayer team on Sunday mornings, and helping lead a prayer meeting on Thursday mornings. Throughout school, I went on many missions trips across the US, including a trip to South Africa! In my final year, I also had the opportunity to meet and mentor students throughout the year. Which was by far one of my favorite parts of school, just being there to listen, and hear from them what the Lord was doing in their lives!

What is your current position?
I am the NextGen Remnant Leader

What else have you done besides ministry?
Frankly, I graduated Highschool and went straight into a ministry school in Northern California! I have had my share working in a coffee shop, and also working for my father in his business with Electrical Engineering. Taking inventory of electrical/communication poles for Telcomm and Power Companies. 

Where did you receive your training/education?
I completed 3 years of ministry school at Bethel Church, in Redding, California! 

How long have you been at Abundant Life?
I have been at Abundant Life since 2008. Attending the ALCC youth camp since 6th grade. I can't seem to get away from it, because I haven't stopped going every year since then. So it's safe to say I love youth camp.

Tell us a little about your family...
I am the middle child of 3. I have an older and younger sister. And 2 amazing parents. They are all living in the Big Sky State of Montana!

What are you passionate about?
I also am passionate about worship! It is my greatest joy to worship Jesus. Something about music/worship intrigues me so much, and has driven me to pursue learning to play all of the instruments one day! I am very passionate about seeing the youth encounter Jesus. I spent all 13 years of my schooling growing up in the Orting School District. And have been in the place of peer pressure, and comparison as well as seen it first hand in the public school district. Now being on the other side of Highschool, I now can see that we all just need to be reminded by the Father how much He Loves us, and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. And that isn't something that we should sacrifice to fit into culture!

Fun Facts:
* I love everything involving physical activity! I love playing just about all kinds of sports, like basketball, football, volleyball, even some pickleball here and there. Also snowboarding, hiking, camping, and swimming in lakes!

* My favorite memories in life almost always are around a campfire with people that I love. There is just something about the smell of the campfire, and roasting a meal on the fire!

* I could eat breakfast food for every meal of the day easily. Breakfast food just speaks directly to my heart.
