Scott & Britta Allerton

How many years have you been in the ministry and what is your ministry experience?

We started serving in children’s ministry in 2002, Britta as Children’s Directors and Scott as the k-5th grade kids church teacher for 12 years at a church in Sumner, WA Starting in 2014 Scott served as webmaster and technology director and Britta served in women’s ministry for 4 years at a church in Graham, WA We have been in ministry since September 2019 at ALCC

What else have you done besides ministry?

Scott worked at Safeway for 15 years. For the last 21 years he has  worked in IT for Reynolds and Reynolds. Britta homeschooled their first 3 children and graduated them all, she ran a successful supplement demo business for 3 years, and currently she is homeschooling their 2 youngest chldren

Where did you receive your training/education?

Scott attended Green River College and Western Washington University

Tell us a little about your family...

We were both raised in Puyallup and went to rival high schools. We met and married in 1994. We have 5 children. A daughter Bailey (married to Kyle), and 4 sons, Simon, Silas, Solomon, and Samuel. In 2011 we became foster parents and adopted our youngest two sons. We have lived in Orting since 1996.

What are you passionate about?

#1 we are passionate about Jesus and teaching the next generation all about Him. We also love cultivating relationships with those in our community. Ask us about our 100 year plan!!

* You may find us dancing in our kitchen on a Friday night. Sitting on our porch in the Spring and Summer. Hanging at the river as a family. On a bike ride along the Orting trail. Eating sushi or tacos with friends. Or sitting around the table playing a competitive game of Catan.

* We love to spend a week at Ocean Shores every summer as a family and we are really into taking cruises (Caribbean, Mexican, or Alaskan we don’t care)

* Britta is really into decorating and crafting, having friends over for coffee and thrifting.

* Scott can’t sit still and always has a home project or is playing Legos with the littles.
