The thing Troy and I hope for is that our church body would never know we’re there. And we say this because our delight is in creating an uninhibited worship and sound experience for every person at ALCC, an experience that has as few microphone squawks as possible and has the right words on the screen at the right time. We don’t want to get in the way of what Holy Spirit is doing in His people; we want to make it even easier for every person to connect with Him.
How long have you been at Abundant Life?
We’ve been a part of Abundant Life for 17 years. And this has been the place we’ve raised our family.
Tell us a little about your family...
Our kids were little “yesterday” and now our daughter Raven is driving and taking college courses, and our son Silas is teaching us how to use our computers and grilling steaks. Our family passions have shifted some, too. Our thing used to be to listen to audio books on car rides together, and to hike with the kids. The mountains now mostly only see my face and Troy’s. But the living room carpet—eek--not trying to sound spiritual here—but that place sees all our faces as we contend in prayer each night. Intercession is changing our lives.
What are you passionate about?
Troy’s passion is people. Helping people. Loving people. Mine is praying for people. And making sure whoever it is has enough to eat. We smile a little wider after time in the mountains, at the end of well-written books, when even our ankle gets a little sun, and while hearing the miracles God has done in people’s lives.
